During this hands-on workshop all participants will get stuck in, working with chocolate to create a chocolate nest to be filled with chocolate truffles and mini eggs. You will make your chocolate nest before beautifully packaging your creation to take home and show off, share or maybe just enjoy! You will learn how to temper chocolate before making your own Easter Egg filled with chocolates. Tickets are £15 for adults or £10 for children and are available from York Cocoa House or on-line at yorkchocolatefestivalchocolatemasterchef.eventbrite.com 2.00pm - 3.00pm Raw Chocolate Making - Hands-on Chocolate Making Workshop with York Cocoa House Choc Chick's Raw chocolate is made with the basic ingredients that go into chocolate. You will work with the raw ingredients of cocoa powder, cocoa butter and agar nectar, a natural fructose used to sweeten, there is no dairy, sugar or gluten in these ingredients. During this hands-on workshop all participants will get stuck in, working with the raw ingredients to create actual chocolate. Once made you can add your choice of ingredients to make your chocolate into an interesting chocolate bar of your own creation. You will need to allow your chocolate products to set before coming back 1 hour later to beautifully packaging your creation to take home and show off, share or maybe just enjoy! Dr Bridget Morris of the Rowntree Society will look at a survey of daily life for the many generations of apprentices who worked in the famous business established by Joseph Rowntree in 1822, including George Cadbury and Lewis Fry.
